Our Shop and Village
Shere nestles in the Tillingbourne Valley in the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty between Dorking and Guildford, just off the A25.
It is one of the most beautiful villages in Surrey, with narrow lanes, a stream (with ducks!), historic houses and a church dating back to 1190.
There are fantastic walks and cycleways in the surrounding area along the North Downs and through the Hurtwood Forest. There are a variety of shops as well as two pubs, a tearoom and a restaurant.
Due to its being a quintessential English village, Shere has been used in the past as the setting for a number of films: 'The Holiday', 'Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason' and 'The Wedding Date' being the most recent.
Do come and visit us in our idyllic setting - it's well worth it!
